That contract is freaking insane!! I don't give a hoot if he is the best player in the NHL. Then now I am hearing Leon Draisatl who had one good season so far is looking at $9M a season?? I am pretty sure Cam Talbot will be asking big money too in 2 years. So, if this contract talks happens Oilers will be paying 5 players $36M(McDavid, Draisatl, Lucic, Hopkins and Russell). Then you have to add Talbot and Larsson... that will handcuff them from getting some decent players. Oh well Chia thinks McDavid can do everything by himself anyways.
