Anyway. He's not good enough to provide any sort of consistently decent forecheck. And when he doesn't get into shooting lanes, he gets exposed badly defensively because he loses his defensive zone coverage a lot.
IMO, other than laying in front of everything and being a human puck blocking machine, he's adequate at nothing else at any sort of NHL level.

Disagree. He scored 17 in a season where a lot of things went right for him. He's more then adequate in terms of killing penalties, cycling the puck as a 4th line unit, finish his checks.
