Yeah, there's something going the other way, but allow yourself to just have even an ounce of fun as a fan. We're looking to jump into contender status in the next two to three years. This is how that starts to happen, not by stockpiling picks and prospects til the commissioner goes "Wow, look at that future, here's the Stanley Cup!!!".

I agree with you 100 times over! Our cupboards aren't bare in the system, and we don't need 30 "top prospects" down in the minors either. Nashville has made bold moves, Pittsburgh has made bold moves, and look where it got them.
3 years of a top 4 dman with a great cap hit...call me crazy but that is a great pick up. If they can add a scoring RW, then I call this offseason a success. With that D infront of Mike Smith, I'm not so worried
