Anyways, first of all, PPG is virtually the same for those top 4. 2nd. Backlund just turned 28 which in my opinion means he's 1 year into his 4 prime centreman years. So his 25 year old PPG is irrelevant. Previous 3 year average PPG isn't something the GM or Backlunds agent is going to bring up negotiating terms. It's 'what have you done for me lately', which has been being a top defensive centreman in the NHL. Earns you $6mil a year normally.
