I think the chances of him signing in Vegas are more likely than Calgary. But probably he picks a contending American team and I don't blame him. Very few American UFAs would be looking to sign in a cold Canadian city. I don't think we really need to entertain the idea of Oshie it's so unrealistic IMO.
The only big name UFAs we could attract are Canadian and European IMO. I think we have little to no chance of ever signing a big name American UFA.

Agree on Oshie and with what you're saying in general, but perhaps if the team progresses to contender status and Gaudreau continues increasing in star power, he might help attract possible American free agents. Playing on a line with one of the best American players in the league who's going to set you up left and right might increase our chances much more than we're there at now or in the past few years. There's a chance as time goes on some of them will play with him for Team USA in some incarnation as well which could help.
