As a Flames fan, I really don't have that strong a reaction either way to this trade or Russell re-signing. You would think the Oilers just swallowed a massive poison pill. They haven't.

It is funny how Flames homers believe McDavid and Draisatl had career years whereas Gaudreau, Monahan and Bennett will do nothing but improve their numbers. Seems both teams are banking on continued improvement from their young players.
