The more I think about your position on this, the more I realize how ridiculous it is. Christianity is full of celebrity. Hell, Jesus is like the biggest celebrity their is! He had 12 close groupies, plus all the followers at the time. Christians keep crosses and crucifixes to remember and worship his celebrity. Then you've got all the saints, and their statues that people take pilgrimages to to break down in emotions at, and the religious artifacts that people pay money to see. And the gift shops for tacky memorabilia. And lets not forget the Pope, the biggest living celebrity in Christianity who gives sermons to all his fans. All while collecting boatloads of cash and travelling privately, just like all the celebrities do. Do you care to explain the difference?
