Since when?
The Florida Panthers had arguably the best entry into the NHL of any expansion team, and they have since struggled. The SJ Sharks were the worst team in the league by a country mile for their first few seasons, and are now one of the best market draws in the League. Nashville struggled for years and now have a rabid and loyal fan base.
So long as the Knights start to be competitive after a couple years I think they will be fine, and they look well poised to do just that.
