Most factory decks don't have the pre-outs needed to hook up an amp. Yours being new, may, so find that out first. Might say in your manual.

If not, there is still a way, but it has to be done differently and is kind of goofy. I did it once and it worked but was oddly wired.

I can't remember exactly how I did it, but it was something like cutting the rc jacks off one side of the cable and putting the wire into a speaker channel on the deck, instead of a seperate sub channel. Therefore my sub and 1 of my speakers were sharing the same output.

You may have to google some instructions if this is what you decide to do, but I can tell you it can be done.

You won't need new speakers if you get a sub and amp unless you want them. Since your truck is pretty new, I'm guessing the factory system sounds good anyway.
It's similar to a home theatre set up. Different chanels for each speaker, so you can change as many of few as you like.

Not sure what double din or single din means? sorry, no advice there.
