So I'm arguing that if Brouwer goes it wont be just Brouwer, there will likely be a pick/prospect going the other way too. This depends on the assumption that the Flames have indeed moved on and want him gone.

They can ask, but the Flames can legitimately state, "fine, take someone else", because we really can't lose much in value. Vegas could still take Brouwer, if they like that player.
