In any event, 35 points in a season from a second/third line winger is solid production, and is actually quite close in range for his salary as a UFA acquisition.

He wasn't signed to his bloated FA deal to toil on the third line. Adjusting his value to make it seem as much is nothing more than cherry picking.
Compare what Brouwer brings to Frolik at a similar salary and its almost laughable the level of production he's bringing to the club. 35 points might be solid production for a lottery team but certainly not on a team that should be moving into the upper echelon of teams in the western conference.
