If lights are installed at 14th and 7th and 5th and 12th, I wonder if the City would consider closing off access on the east side of 14th and 8th completely. Close it off get the developer to pay for the removal of a 1/3 block of concrete and extend the green space.
The proposed developments arent "see a sign and stop" type places so immediate access wouldnt necessarily be needed. That would funnel everyone out of 7th and 12th. Put 3 lanes on 7th with 1 for right turns.
Take out the ped bridge, maybe even put a concrete barrier there and then put in a new ped bridge.
Any maybe put in a traffic circle at 7th and 12th - mind blown
