Treliving on the balance has done a good job but why has he earned your trust on goaltending? Name one good move so far. His moves have been defensible at best. I think it's completely fair to say we can't give Treliving the check mark on goaltending. I think it's also fair to say he hasn't taken a huge gamble on goaltending either.
It's easy to get impatient, but people need to remember that this team was missing every single piece, with the exception of #1 D man when Tre took over. It also had a completely bare cupboard minus Johnny. The goalie hole is probably the hardest to fill to boot. This team hasn't reached it prime yet and won't for a couple of years. Tre needs to properly fill that hole by then, and this deal isn;t going to be the answer to that I don't think. But people also need to give him time to build a winner and get things done, it's not that easy, and right now properly solving the goalie issue would likely but us 2 steps back on a hole that we have already filled.
