To someone in the Middle East, what some politician from the congress in the United States has to say is essentially meaningless. If you believe it does you have bought into the hubris that the majority of Americans have bought into. The incredible level of over-importance that Americans place on their political leaders is embarassing. The politics of the muslim world will be decided by muslims, not by a group of self-important Americans whose government has lost all face in the Middle East and is considered the greatest enemy the region has. The Americans have made a mess in the region. It is highly unlikely that anything they say will hold much weight in the region. The paper tiger has been caged.

Ahhh the real Lanny comes to the fore. The anti-American. Nothing either dumb party full of has been politicians or any American has to think/say has any meaning in a country with over a hundred thousand troops keeping the Shia's from exacting revenge or the country from instantly dissolving into those three regions. Nothing guys think who have negotiated succesfully before in dire situations means anything. Yep and meanwhile Muslims who hate each other as much if not more than they hate Americans are going to put together a peace plan.
You live in a fantasy world -- a delusional one!!!
