Signing Versteeg doesn't seem overly crazy. He wants to be in Calgary but with the way his last off season went, he might jump if they offer him anything decent. Plus Vegas will be short on top 6 talent, and Versteeg has shown he can still put up better than 0.5 ppg numbers.

Exactly my thoughts. Oh and that little thing called Stanley cup experience. I believe he has even more than playoff phenom Troy Brouwer.
