Not the Flames MO, imo. They will add a top four defenseman from outside the organization and then closer to the season will likely add a bottom pairing defenseman from outside the organization.
They always add a depth NHL D-man. Then it will be similar to every other year where it ends up being very difficult for a prospect to actually stick on the big club.
