A lot of Canadians think we have privacy laws that don't exist. When you're in public, anyone can take pictures of you for any purpose, as long as they don't sell an identifiable image of you without your permission. Sunbathing at Princes Island Park and someone takes a picture of you and shares it with his buddies? Perfectly legal. You have no right to privacy in a public space, and the law does not distinguish between looking at someone and taking a picture of them.
