But he's going to be the backup if he's re-signed. By definition he won't be playing regularly. Last year he played more than, for example, Raanta.
He played the better part of three games in a row in December and wasn't good (this was right before Elliott heated up). In February/March he was playing as much as any backup and wasn't good.
