Alzner as a #5 D isn't a fit either, as he will command 2nd pairing money. Will screw up the cap.
We also already have Kulak, Wotherspoon and Kylington as young LHD's who will fight for 3rd pairing LHD minutes next season at a fraction of the cost of an Alzner, and we also have Bartkowski as a vet to push and compete with the younger guys for that spot.
What we need is to bring back Stone as a UFA (or sign Franson if you believe he's better than Stone), or trade for an upgrade on both of those guys as #4 RHD options.
Then we need to find a vet RHD to compete with Andersson for the 3rd pairing RHD spot. Engelland, Holzer, Postma....UFA's like that who won't command term and $$.
