No doubt Nadal is by far the greatest of all time on clay.
A fantastic champion as well, coming back from multiple injuries, re-inventing his game and building on it. Amazing that IMO, the #1 and #2 players of all time are playing at the same time, and it's very clear that none of the new generation really has what it takes. I include players like Djokovic and Murray in the "new generation", because clearly they don't have the mental fortitude that Nadal and Fed have.
I wonder what happens 5 years from now. I think after Fed and Nadal are done, there'll be a transition period with random unranked players suddenly taking a slam, or a young "up and comer" taking a slam then falling off the face of the earth (someone like Thiem). The bar is just so incredibly high.
