To be honest I'm actually open to the black C jersey, even though I've long been a huge 'ditch the black' kinda guy. I actually do really like the red jersey with the black C, I just wish it wasn't slapped together by what looks like a child in MS Paint, which is what our current set looks like.

I think this has potential to be a pretty sweet uniform if done tastefully. I also think (just a hunch based on how much they talk about it) there's a reluctance to go retro because that's what the Oilers did, and we basically want to distance ourselves from any decision that organization does.

I like the retro, but the black can be incorporated in a nice way. Like others have said if you ditch the crap striping, flags and piping... and go to more / less what we had in '04... that's a slick uniform really. Maybe trade horsehead side patch for the new C circle mountain thing, it'd be nice.

Also kinda interesting point on that icethetics.co website, which is always a great place for uniform updates. Talks about how on the Golden Knights new logo, there's actually an inset black inscribe along the black part of the logo, and it can be seen both in the new jerseys and on their logo release last November.
