Yea no clue about your rate situation but I do know there are host penalties.
I booked a place in Taiwan 2 years ago. The host manually accepts it immediately. A day later he tells me the place is unavailable, but he will host us in his other property in the middle of nowhere and is highly inaccessible. I told him no thanks. He had set up a strict cancellation policy where I would only get half my money back, so I was adamant that he make the cancellation and not me. I ended up having to send it to dispute to get my money back and to ding his credibility as host.
