drink from the stanley cup!!!! (still can't believe i got to do that!)

playing in a band in front of close to 9,000 people - that's pretty awesome. the energy from the crowd was amazing!

something that i thought 'yea whatever' until i actually saw it was the grand canyon. my wife and i went to phoenix a few years ago and one of our day trips was to see the grand canyon. i figured we'd drive there, check it out for an hour then jet - boy was i wrong. i would have loved to spend a couple days there - it's just awesome

and a final one would be to get on the ice with current nhler's and get just a glimpse of their speed, size and skill (especially since i play goal). it's just unreal how good they are (even when they are dialing it waaaaay back). i've told the story on cp before of how blake comeau fired one at the goal from just inside the blue line (glove high). i reacted as fast as i could and i think my hand had barely moved and i heard the 'doink!' of the puck hitting the post. the puck ended up leaving our zone after hitting the post. when i went to get square in my net i noticed that the shot had knocked the one post back about 3" (the post had the little spike-peg in the bottom)
