The role of a genuine reporter is to uncover the facts and discover the pattern of events. This is not done by interviews. You don't rely on a defendant to admit his own guilt; the prosecution must build their own case.

Huh? The only way to conduct an effective interview is torture? We disagree on that. Of course he may choose not to answer or deflect but a good interviewer will definitely get indications from their subject. Asking about ownership meddling is not a loaded question and if local media is too scared to ask something like this, that's a shame.
