I thought the whole point of Congress having people testify was so they could do their job with respect to oversight. How can you do that when people can just decide to not answer the question? I get if the answer is classified, but in this case it just seems they want to not answer to protect the image of their party. Or maybe their jobs, are they afraid Trump will fire them if they tell the truth (maybe that's not far off)?
If congress decided to subpoena them and hold them in contempt if they didn't answer that'd be one thing, but they won't.
