I know I'm in the minority but I thought Bennett missed Frolik more than Backlund. Backlund is the better player but Frolik's skillset seemed to complement Bennett's skillset so much and it's something none of Chiasson, Versteeg, or Brouwer really replicated.
I don't think you're being a homer though. It's natural for the perceived stock for some of our younger players to be low as they don't play in situations conductive to racking up counting stats, which is how HFboards posters evaluate players. Our AHL team rolls four lines and three pairings pretty heavily and Bennett was never expected to play above Backlund/Monahan in his first year as a centre.
