That would be about the salary cap structure you're looking at after acquiring Ovechkin in the near term, let's say the 2019 season. A 77M cap hit by 2019 season is certainly possible. And if Kylington or Andersson make the club as bottom pairing defenseman, they'll have cap hits of ~0.7M roughly at that time for some savings here and there.
Of course I think acquiring Ovechkin is a pipe dream, and pretty much requires Brouwer to be moved somehow, but fitting him into the salary cap is feasible.
