The Caps are not getting back a player like Tkachuk in an Ovie deal not even close.
I see this being more of a Phaneuf or Bash deal where the Caps get depth and picks but they will not get a stud blue chip youngster.
Realistically what team that would be in the running for Ovie trade one of their future building blocks? That is why this is such a tough trade to make. Columbus got Amisnov, Dubinsky, 1st, Erixon for Nash. I think that is a similar type return the Caps can expect for Ovie. 1-2 good but not great roster players, an organizations top 5 prospect, and a first.
While i don't think Brouwer, Fox, 1st is enough I think it is closer than a deal centered around Tkachuk would be
