Ding ding ding..You've hit on the real problem with most evangelicals in the states. They will mention free will but they don't really believe in it. Ultimately most of what they believe is divine plan controlled right down to the tiniest details right down to whether you get a job or not. And I kid you not on the last part. I can't tell you how many times I see things on facebook and other things that are something like "I hope God lets me get the job I just interviewed for!" or "i got fired from my job today. God must have better things in store for me to do that!"
It's sickening to me as it simply absolves people of any responsibility when they continually point to something being God's will.
Great mechanism to control the masses though. Especially when you intimately tie it into politics like the right side of the GOP does.
It constantly amazes me that many do not see this constant erosion of the separation of church and state. IT amazes me even more that the people that see it and don't care are the first to trumpet the constitution when any thing they think is against it happens.
