Remember their Gillette commercials they did together. They were seen as the pinnacle of their sporting professions. I do think ultimately Woods was more important to his sport as golf has taken a nose dive since he has no longer been a factor. Tennis is more international and has persevered despite not really having any big name American players since Agassi and Sampras or Roddick to a lesser extent.
