I just think the stats are misleading. If you watched the goalies play the last 2 years, Ryan Miller is the best of the UFA batch, but he has the worst stats. Based on the stats, Brian Elliott looks like a hall of famer, but most of those stats were built up behind a defensive team in St. Louis.
The Canucks without Miller last year would have been Avalanche bad. When you play in front of a terrible team, your save percentage, GAA and QS% is going to take a hit.
