Yesterday, the NHL announced the schedule for the Stanley Cup Final. Game 7 is scheduled for June 14.
As per the CBA, the buyout window opens either at 5:00pm on June 15 or 48 hours after the end of the Stanley Cup Final. If the series goes a full seven games, there will not be much of a window for teams to put through buyouts before their protected lists have to be submitted.
Also, I'll be surprised if teams wait until after the Final is over before making Expansion Draft related trades. Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final is scheduled for May 25 and the Final will start on May 29, so we might see a bunch of trades next weekend so they don't distract from the Final.
