that roster doesn't make me drool TBH.
I like the Flames team and don't want to see a splurge in spending on UFAs or some drastic overhaul of the roster.
6 or 7 years ago the line from management was "stay the course" and i hated that. i wanted big big change.
this feels different. i think this roster will get better and yield better results year over year if we just keep reinvesting in our homegrown talent.
stabilize the situation in goal the same way we did before last season.
there's no johnny and monny contract hold out crap, the same coach, the same systems are in place, and i think that those systems and these players can win a lot of games next year.
and realistically that's all i'm asking for in 2017-2018, win a lot of games, become a team that contends for divisional crowns.
is next year our cup contention year? probably not, but win some games and be in the dance.
don't sign oshie or bring in nino, graduate jankowski and hathaway, that's how perennial favorites get things done.
let edmonton blow their brains out trying to find the 'missing piece'
