Talbot turned out to be a steal (Treliving was also in on this so credit Chiarelli for outbidding) and Maroon was a solid addition but a lot of his moves center around depth players. The Hall/Larsson deal looks good early for the Oilers but that could easily turn into a bad trade if Larsson doesn't improve and Hall gets more talent to play with in NJ. The Lucic deal is one of the worse UFA contracts in recent NHL history. To be fair Chiarelli has done a good not great job but lets not forget Kevin Lowe actually made some pretty astute moves early into his GM tenure but once the Oilers stink permeated through him he became a laughing stock.
