IR: Some teams have had problems when players are out day to day. Previously we had stated that if a player is day to day they don't have to go on IR, but this means teams cannot call up players to replace the injured day to day player. So, as long as you cannot use them in the sim due to injury (day to day or worse) than you can put them on IR. Just make sure once they are no longer day to day they are off IR immediately. Do not get caught "hiding" players on IR to keep yourself below cap.

I will admit I put Savard on IR and I was over the cap, but Savard wasn't usable in the sim...his CD was down to 89...and I could not play him, therefore I put him on the IR and in the meantime I found myself the caproom. I was about to take him off the IR when I saw his CD had improved to 98 but that was already removed by the league...not trying cheat or hide players, just putting the guy on IR who I cudnt use. thx
