So how does that work? If they don't trade MAF they either have to get him to waive for expansion which is absolutely ludicrous, why would he not take the extra cash on the buyout and why would he want to go to a bottom feeder for the next two years? The only people thinking Fleury will end up in LV are Penguin fans, I have yet to hear a credible source imply that is the case. It makes zero sense for MAF to do the Penguins a huge favour by leaving money on the table for an organization that after giving him a NMC is now pushing him out the door. So if Fleury does not waive then they have to bribe LV not to take Murray. Exactly what does Pitts have to entice LV not to select a young stud goalie? Nothing. MAF will either be traded or bought out or the Pens will keep him and deal Murray. I cannot see any way MAF waived for LV, he would have to be a complete idiot to do so.
