Few goaltenders get better in their 30's. You are generally hoping they can maintain a level of play close to their mid to late 30's. Flames are a young team and it would be nice to have an emerging young goaltender with his best years ahead of him over guys like Elliott and Bishop where you are hoping year to year they can hold on to replicate past play.
