Are you concerned about the heat or the filtration?
I would thing in the summer it shouldn't cool off that much in the evenings. But I would prefer my pool on the cooler side. If I wanted warm, I would buy a hot tub.
If you're worried about the filtration, I think it depends on your bather load and you flow rates. What is the turnover time for a full cycle? If you have a birthday party with 50 screaming delinquents that haven't showered, I would let it run over night for a cycle. But if it's just you, I would turn it off at night. As long as you keep your chemicals are balanced, I wouldn't worry too much.
