Ya no doubt he is a sold contributor. I was looking at it more like if you got a guy like Panarin or another young guy you want to sign, but your money is tied up with Hossa. Yea sure, Hossa is contributing, but would you rather have the 38 year old putting up 42 points or the 23-25 year old putting up 42 points under a 4 year contract?
I'm sure Chicago will sort it all out, they always manage to remain a top competitor despite every year facing a 'cap crisis'.
