Of course ownership meddles. Has nobody here ever answered to an owner of a company before? Firstly, I don't care how trusting you are, nobody is given absolutely pure autonomy. Especially when tinkering with millions in salary. Secondly, no CEO or owner is a trusting person. Not in the least. And finally, these are hobby businesses for owners. That's like a nerd letting someone else manage their level 70 warlock for a few months.
Besides, the day you manage you business like some sort of mutual fund is the day it's starts going into the red.
