We are no longer in that elite reputation field. Your line is the same line that our Prime Minsters like to pull out. "We can punch above our weight", "We're the best little army in the world"

Don't get me wrong, our troops and pilots and sailers do a great job when they're asked to, but that's only a small part of the equation when its comes to declaring pound for pound that we're the best army in the world.

In terms of equipment, tempo, ability to deploy and stay, and support our troops on those deployment are so sub par that no soldier can over come it.

What makes the Canadian military impressive is its ability to succeed despite all the short comings of kit & equipment.

Rarely will you see so few do so much with so little.
