Trades don't have to be about exchanging your garbage for another team's gold. They can be about exchanging an excellent player for another player who is excellent but brings something different to the table.
Some of the best trades in Flames history involved giving up very good players (Steve Konroyd, Dan Quinn, Mike Bullard).
