based on my neighborhood facebook psots it sounds as if there are a number of garage break ins lately and I now have a cable lock locking up our bikes in the garage - in hopes of presenting a layer of difficulty should anyone get into our garage. I also have a gadget on our door that notifies my phone when my door opens or closes and I have an IP camera in there as well - I am going to contact vivint to ask about getting a outside camera added to our system.
Cable locks can be cut with any 10 dollar side cutters in about 5 seconds. We remove locks for customers all the time that lose their keys.

The best thing to do is lock up all the bikes together with a chain and anchor it either with ceder blocks or something along those lines.
