Just a heads up that Wii U players will be at a disadvantage -- the Switch version added in a third "ultra" level of drift boost. Some stages it won't change things much but others with long curves like N64 Rainbow Road or Mario Circuit you can get it 3-4 times per lap. Heck even on Mario Kart Stadium there's a couple turns you can stretch for it.
