Shinkaruk makes the most sense to me. Cheap, young, waiver eligible, sliding ELC forward. Another 2 seasons for arbitration eligibility. Former 1st round pick. Kulak is in the same boat, but is slightly older and has 1 less year of arbitration eligibility. It depends on whether Vegas wants a forward/defence prospect.
Brouwer is also possible, and the best case scenario for the Flames. Although it would not be surprising if McPhee's prior affinity for him is diminished due to his poor season. We'd likely have to package a B prospect to convince McPhee to draft him.
Chiasson is also possible. He's a relatively cheap bottom 6 forward that can kill penalties and chip in occasionally with offense. But there's probably a lot of these types of players out there that can be gotten in free agency, and a great deal of them exposed in the draft.
Bartkowski is another maybe - he was actually alright playing with Engelland, just got played something like 4-5 min more per night than they should've been and exposed hard because of it. But he's cheap and servicable at the NHL level. On the other hand, there's going to be a LOT of good young defencemen to pick from so Vegas shouldn't really need fill-me-ins if they're going to rob Anaheim/Minnesota of players like Vatanen and Spurgeon.
