That draft happened to be a really good one and the three guys they took with our picks Senyshyn, Jakub Forsbacka Karlsson, and Jeremy Lauzon all look like they'll be quality NHL players.
The Flames were in greater need of a more certain player than those three potential picks and it made entirely perfect sense to get Hamilton. However, it also made a lot of sense for the Bruins as well. Could be a trade that we look back on in a few years and it will look like the Kiprusoff for Vlasic trade where each team made out really good and impacted their franchise in a positive manner. It was one of the better rebuild on the fly moves I have seen a team make in a long time for Boston.

Stop being sensible. If the Flames put Hamilton on the market today looking for draft picks, could they do any better? Keeping in mind the so called experts say this is a weak draft.
