The good news for the Jays is that they have plenty pieces to move at the deadline.
Estrada, Liriano, Grilli, Smith, Howell and Barney are all on the last years of their deals. Estrada is the only one that would fetch anything of real value.
Bautista has a mutual option for next year, so he is basically on the last year of his deal too. With the way he is hitting now I can't see him garnering much in return, but a team might look at him as a power bat.
Donaldson is arbitration eligible next year, but if you are trading away a bunch of these guys anyways you may as well move Donaldson as he will probably fetch some nice high end prospects in return.
Happ has another year on his deal which gives him a little added value.
If Smoak keeps up his current pace at the plate I could see a team valuing his defense for the playoffs and he has one more year at just over $4m and then a club option.
Not saying they are going to completely tear it down though they probably should, but if they want to restock they have some moving parts to get it done.
