Heard Freidman on the fan yesterday speculating the "what if" scenario of MAF standing on his head and winning the Cup with the Pens these playoffs, and whether Pitts would consider moving Murray instead, which seemed unthinkable just a couple months ago.
But Murray does keep getting hurt, and MAF is only 32 and still performing. Pus they likely get a better return for Murray as well.
The other factor to consider as well in all of this, is the Penguins aren't barren after MAF and Murray. Tristan Jarry improved big time in the AHL this year (2.15 GAA / 0.925 save% in 45 starts) and has always been considered a very good goalie prospect.
So would the Pens consider moving Murray for a better return if MAF can take them deep again, then run with MAF for 2 more seasons while Jarry becomes the successor?
