And don't forget his early works too. I would include "Something Wild" and "Melvin and Howard" amongst by favourite films from the 80s. And he was a celebrated documentary filmmaker as well -- "Swimming to Cambodia", "The Agronomist", and "Jimmy Carter: Man From Plains" are all wonderful documentaries.
