According to this article there is also debate as to whether or not the president has the authority to pull the US out. Sounds like he can. It also seems he does not have the support of his party to pull out of NAFTA.

No, but they'll care how it affects them and trade barriers between the two countries will hurt a lot of states just like it'll hurt Canada.
